About Golden Wonton King 糖潮滋味館

Golden Wonton King 糖潮滋味館 is one of the cantonese restaurants listed in Flushing, New York. The business is registered at 154-01 Northern Blvd 1 Fl, Flushing, NY 11354; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Flushing; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in New York are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Golden Wonton King 糖潮滋味館 at (718) 799-0105; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 531 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Flushing is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Flushing follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This restaurant is always crowded with lines out the door. Made sure to come before 11AM to get a medium sized table with the fam. Was seated right away with tea served. Ordered the shrimp rice rolls, turnip cake, and tripe from the dimsum menu. All of which were delicious. For mains ordered the wonton soup, garlic chicken, salt and pepper pork chop, seafood crispy noodle, snails, and golden fried rice. Cannot order enough dishes from this spot. Everything was fresh served up hot. Will be back to feast again!

We’ve been to Golden Wonton King a few times and usually liked it, so this takeout order was disappointing. The Peking Pork Chop was solid, and the sautéed bamboo pith with mixed mushrooms was decent. However, the Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce tasted like generic Chinese takeout—nothing like what you’d expect from a restaurant at this level. The sautéed chives with diced salted fish was the biggest letdown: mostly tough, overgrown chives instead of chive flowers, and barely any salted fish. Overall, not up to their usual standard this time.

I highly recommend the salted egg yolk fried lobster! It’s super flavorful and crispy, with the rich yolk complementing the succulent lobster meat. A bit on the pricier side but we got a lot of seafood so that makes sense/is worth it.

Golden Wonton King is one of those spots that really delivers when you’re craving authentic Cantonese comfort food. The flavors are rich, nostalgic, and clearly made with care. Their wontons are a standout—perfectly cooked with a delicate wrapper and flavorful filling—and the broth is light but deeply satisfying. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and well-balanced, from the roasted meats to the noodle dishes. Portions are generous, making it great for sharing or taking leftovers home. The service is quick and no-frills, which honestly adds to the charm of a classic Cantonese eatery. If you’re looking for a reliable go-to for traditional Cantonese dishes, this place definitely hits the mark. I’ll be coming back!

Cantonese Cuisine 👍👍 The head chef is from my Dad’s hometown. The food is authentic as it gets. Every dish was wonderful and delicious. Massive flavor in each bite. My 2 favorite dishes were the sautéed house clams and the Golden Fried Rice. Just makes your tongue dance a bit… BYOB is a big plus 👍 *Interior design can use an upgrade…
